In England, 10 months of relatively low Covid levels led many to believe Covid was finally ‘just like the flu’. Covid is not and will never be anything like the flu. We won‘t get ‘hybrid immunity’ to it, so that it settles down and mostly goes away. It’s an epidemic disease, infecting in wave after wave all year, and will remain that forever, unless we control it. Smallpox was the same, it kep infecting humans in epidemic waves for over 300 years, until an effective vaccine was found.
