Traffic apps seemed a solution to avoid traffic. But what they do is push the traffic into residential streets, where the jams now occur as well. The secret to understanding all of this I think is to stop believing in 'traffic'. It's not a thing, just as the Economy isn't a thing. It's a word used to try to summarise the individual beliefs and desires of millions of people.
