One of the explanations given for why so many people seem so much more sick now, and more often, is that lockdowns caused ‘immunity debt’ i.e. people weren’t getting infected with diseases as much, so their immunity had dropped. Like your immune system is a muscle that needs a regular workout. This was always bullshit, not science. And now the proof is in. We’re into our third post-lockdown year, and the problem is not going away, it’s getting worse. The problem is COVID. It damages your immune system, leaving you wide open to all disease. If you want to see what that’s doing to us, have look at the graph. Our life expectancies are in free fall, the trend is downwards, for the first time in a century. Please, please stop believing that getting Covid lots is harmless, or making you immune to it. Both are *dangerously* wrong beliefs. The fact you might have a ‘mild’ case of Covid is no comfort at all. The damage that’s doing to your immune system is opening the door to ALL disease. It’s just a matter of time. People who caught HIV had a mild cold or flu-like illness. 8-10 years later, they were dead. Every single one of them. And they only caught HIV once, many are getting Covid 2-3 times every year.
