This is humanity heading for extinction. It’s barely mentioned. This is *global*. There are all sorts of reasons given for why people no longer have babies, most correct, like the cost, greater freedom for women to pursue more diverse lives, etc. But every policy used to address those factors makes virtually no difference. The problem is deeper than that. We hate children. The culture is hostile to children, and also to the genuinely old. Only the healthy adult is allowed, and their lifestyle. The old are tolerated while they can still live the lifestyle game. Then they’re discarded. Check out aged care stats. This is kidult culture, that I talk about a lot. The ‘circle of life’, the different responsibilities and features of different ages and stages of life, is completely gone. Replaced by just one phase, the adolescent, ‘living their best life’, for decades. Permanent adolescents (kidults) don’t want the hassle of kids *or* the old, they get in the way of lifestyles.
