The Rolling Stones still tour regularly. But they haven't recorded an album in 18 years. Elton John of course is constantly on the road, though his last album was 7 years ago. Genesis did a tour in the last couple of years. They haven't recorded an album in 26 years. Fleetwood Mac - 20 years. At the same time many of these acts are selling their back catalogues for hundreds of millions of dollars. It's a big gravy train fed by ego and money. People blame streaming for making young acts struggle. I think we can see who's vacuuming up most of the music customer dollars. As that generation is doing in all walks of life.
