Anybody else work somewhere where half the people are freezing all the time, and the other half are too hot? Or even at home? It raises an interesting question for me. We usually say hot and cold are opposites. But I don't think that's right. If they're opposites, at what point does cold become hot and hot become cold? There is no such point. I think hot and cold are relative terms, they describe (for people) how they feel, not the temperature itself. Which is why half an office or house can feel hot, the other half can feel cold. The temperature is the same.
