COP 27 mostly failed, for the same reason it always fails. The $2.8 billion profit per day fossil fuel industry knee-capped it. The only win was emergency funding for the most vulnerable nations. But nobody committed to providing the actual money, and like protection of the vulnerable (all of us, but let's stick just with the really sick) from Covid, it won't actually happen. I don't think many have any idea of the magnitude of the disaster coming our way. Lithgow without gas for a week or so is just a taster. The climate scientists doubt civilisation itself will survive.
