Telephones seem a good example of just how fast change can happen. This was a telephone when I was growing up. Any non-local call was timed and cost a lot of money. The latest prediction I saw today says they won’t even exist (as landlines) within 15 years. And I can now call family on the other side of the world on a mobile, pretty much for free and untimed. And public phone boxes now give you free calls. Smart people did this. Geeks, nerds. Let them run the world.
