What decides ideas in the end is whether they work. In the world right now it’s interesting to see how the major Western countries, especially the Anglo ones, have been flirting for decades with anti-State ideas. The State is the big enemy, that’s the line which has been winning elections. What this has created though I think is a vacuum at the international level, which is the table States sit at. While the West retreats from the international stage, under the banner of freedom for its people from the terrible State, the big communist States and others are more than happy to take over international decisions. I think the West is shooting itself in both feet, with machine guns. Free market, anti-government ideas won’t give us freedom, they’ll just hand over international control to the countries who are less stupid. Which is maybe what we deserve.
