I hear so many comments about how society is in a mess. What stands out is that people usually see the problem as disagreements between people. But all social problems are really clashes of ideas, and I think because we don’t want to look at the ideas, we focus on the people and situations that have adopted the ideas instead. And so the problems don’t get fixed. Ideas enslave us to do their bidding.
