A friend (not pictured) had shingles which infected her scalp and eye. I think it's worth remembering that the more accurate name for shingles should be 'living with chickenpox'. It's the result of chickenpox infection earlier in life, often deliberately done in the way people are deliberately infected with Covid now. It can take decades for the secondary disease to strike. Shingles can cause years of terrible pain, and also blindness. All infection is serious disease, and often not until years later. Even the flus we're so casual about are one of the most likely causes of heart disease. And I've posted before that only recently it's been discovered that multiple sclerosis is caused by glandular fever infection earlier in life.
