What the pretty pictures mean is: 1) people infected with Omicron get reinfected with Omicron, it doesn't make them immune 2) even with vaccination, infection 'dampens' the immune system i.e. stops it responding to the infection. Or in other words, vaccination and infection, and all permutations thereof, won't stop the pandemic. We have to stop the virus spreading. That means masks, restricting movement and gatherings. All the stuff politicians say 'we can't go back to'. Like we have a choice.
