Scott Adams, creator of Dilbert, has died of prostate cancer. Adams’ last years saw him disappear down the loon rabbit holes of social media, going all-in for Trump, and even using ivermectin to try to cure his cancer. As you can see here, impending death forced him to recognise his mistake. Social media kills. It literally does, you can see it right there, in real time. It replaces institutionalised knowledge tested over generations, with complete and utter bullshit that ‘trends’. That’s what ‘kidult’ culture means, replacing adult institutional life with gangs of kidults, fighting over trends. Most of the Covid advice people follow is the same, a creation of social media. Even the ‘official’ advice, which is a cut-and-paste of a social media one-pager from a US free market think tank, the GBD. Telling us to ‘live with’ Covid. There will be many horrible endings to come, for so many.
