Putting a large solar system on your house, even including a battery at today’s charges, costs less than buying a small car. How many households now have 4 or 5 cars? What’s the gain, in having those vehicles? How does it compare to covering all of your home’s energy needs, with a system that will last 25 years, probably 2-4 times as long as most people keep their cars? The ROI on just about every car is negative. A solar system will even power your electric car.
