Trump released one of his ridiculous AI videos of himself as some sort of national superhero. Some in his own party released their own AI-generated response. The wider point here is that we, all the way to the top of our societies, now live on these platforms. They transform everything into childish rivalry between competing social teams. That’s how the platforms are built, it’s their business model, they were built by adolescents. Like a school playground. Not an analogy, social media takes school culture and makes it the adult world.
