Time is fascinating, so I post about it a lot. We grow up taught that time is like a river, flowing into the future in each present moment, with each present moment then becoming part of the past. It’s not how time works. Check out this hammer. The wood of the handle might be 50 years old. The metal in the hammer head might be a billion years old. The lacquer on the handle, made from fossil fuel derivatives, might be a few million years old. Or in your body, some of the cells replace themselves every few days, others over weeks, others over years, others never at all. So it’s a bit of an illusion, the ‘present’. Whether it’s a hammer or your body, different bits are living completely different times, different presents and pasts and futures. Which is pretty cool.
