This is the car Kell and I just bought. Not the actual car in the picture, but the exact same model, colour etc. The Model 3, Long Range. People know I spend a lot of time looking at all the EV options out there. What swayed us to this in the end is that the Model Y is a family car, and we already have one of those. The Model 3 is pretty much the most efficient EV in the world, and you can get 600km on a single charge, about 100km more even than the new Model Y. Its aerodynamic efficiency is almost 0.2, which is remarkable, it slices through the air. It’s also about 300kg lighter than other comparable EVs, and Tesla’s electric drivetrain is the most advanced in the world. All of that make it incredibly efficient, while also having amazing performance and handling (0-100 in 4.4 seconds, great suspension for cornering). Plus it integrates beautifully with our home battery, Tesla software is incredible. And of course buying a Tesla gives you cheaper and integrated access to Tesla superchargers, far and away the best fast-chargers available. This car will charge at up to 250kW, which is about as good as you can achieve in Australia right now. And it has a 17-speaker, dual sub-woofer sound system, which is a highlight for Kell! Should arrive in a week or so.
