Anti-renewables people dishonestly blame higher electricity prices on renewables. The real cause is the use of gas to generate electricity, with the failure of coal-fired plants. Gas is hugely expensive. As batteries now come online, downwards pressure is finally coming on power prices. It's deeply dishonest to cherry-pick every bump in the road during a fundamental change to how things work. It's what whining kidults do. This happened during a time of record demand for electricity too. The renewables grid coped with ease, still driving prices down. I'll never forgive every moron in this country who stood in the way of this revolution, the most stupid behaviour I've ever seen. Or tied with pretending to 'live with' a pandemic.
