Hatred of: - referees - politicians - local and State governments - bureaucrats - call centres, etc. I think our populist age could be summed up as - hatred of the 'middle man'. We want our stuff direct. Uber and social media. Video replays. The danger with this is that the 'middle man' is the actual work to make things, um, work. It says a lot about us, we're classic rich aristocrats in our thinking, we think things just magically happen.
