I’m not sure I explain why DST bothers me so much, how it connects to other ideas. My objections to travel, or to the idea that we’re not responsible for what our ancestors do, or to cars and maps, or a ‘climate’ divorced from the landscape. As if ‘time’ and ‘space’ are ours to play with like a board game. We don’t see our own culture for what it is, it’s all connected. We don’t understand why fiddling with the clocks is incredibly destructive and dangerous, and that’s the problem.
