It's glorious that companies like Globird are announcing plans like this only one day after the LNP announced their idiot 'let's use lots of expensive coal and gas and nuclear' policy. 4 free hours of electricity in the middle of the day. Their off-peak rate (any other time outside 4-8pm and the 4 free hours) is also very reasonable, only 27c/kWh. Renewables are doing this. Not coal or gas or nuclear. This plus the huge rollout of batteries will take massive pressure off peak generation in the evenings, which will drive prices down for everybody.
