Post-revolutionary societies never recover from their revolutions. It’s like Stage 4 metastatic social cancer. As a post-revolutionary society, the US sees all attempts at collective organisation as a tyranny of some kind. Only ‘the people’ is authentic to them. Unfortunately it’s also a fiction. The void left by its constant attack on anything organised is filled by money. It is and always has been a plutocracy. It’s a billionaire factory. The same post-revolutionary culture then attacks the billionaires too. Nothing fixes this endless ‘rising up’ loop of social destruction they’re stuck in except total social collapse.
