This article was an excellent window again into the almost impossibly complex world that is the real Australia. And how we who think ourselves advanced because we can build cars and aeroplanes and computers, have not a clue how to deal with this much more complex stuff that keeps us alive. Aboriginal Australians did, life thrived here for tens of thousands of years under their management. No other culture has managed that. The ‘gap’ we need to close to survive is this one. Not to get Aboriginal Australians to be better European Australians. European Australia has been a catastrophe for this continent, on the measures that actually matter, longer term. We’re just tourists in our own land.
