The disruption to global energy supply is an existential threat, particularly to Western nations, who are energy pigs. And unsurprisingly, what's their level of concern or action? Virtually zero. The kidult 'just chill'. This could require planning and preparation to rival or even surpass the world wars, to come through it. What are we doing? Nothing. And it's not surprising. We gave up controlling a pandemic because it was too hard for kidults to have to sacrifice anything. 'Viral' societies, nothing but trending fads and fashions, many of which last barely 10 minutes. The West is now tangled in a web of social conformity, where nothing is done for fear of upsetting the status quo. It lives inside social media, the eternal schoolyard of likes and followers.
