The owners of Iowa’s last nuclear power plant are turning the facility into a solar farm. You can’t get a clearer picture of the global shift in play. And incidentally, it takes 20-30 YEARS to decommission a nuclear plant. And a decade or more to build one. They’re ridiculous technology for today, in places like Australia. You can build a solar farm in 8 months, and decommission it in 8 months too.
