I think it’s worth noticing that in this record week of outrageous heat, there hasn’t been one story in the news about potential grid collapse and the need for people to conserve energy. That’s because of renewables. It’s the old fossil-fuelled grid which could never cope with this sort of strain. Renewables are thriving.
