'Only hospitalisations matter'. Just one example of the stupidity of that statement. People who get infected are just like people with the flu - out of action. Multiple that by the tens or hundreds of thousands, and society grinds to a halt. Multiply that by 52 weeks a year, year after year, and...totally unworkable.
