This is a very common gripe doctors tend to have - administration. Academics are the same. And we’ve all been told to despise bureaucracy. It’s well known that the amount a charity spends on administration has almost no connection with its effectiveness as a charity, often those that spend the least on admin are also the least effective charities. I don’t normally trust anybody who thinks administration is the problem. Nearly every administrator I know is part of the glue holding society together, in some way.
