Have done over a year’s driving now in the Kluger hybrid. The money saved in petrol has easily covered the difference in price to the regular petrol model. Every km we drive now is pure profit. And hybrids give you that beautiful, smooth, instant power and torque at every speed that makes me laugh at the thought of ever driving a standard petrol or diesel again, running constantly up and down gears to try to get any power out of the engine. Was at the lights next to a Hilux this week, who wanted a drag race. I don’t drag race, but I don’t need to, the Kluger moved away from the lights with instant torque and power, while the Hilux revved the shit out of the engine, moving up through the gears, yo-yoing forward and backwards as the power came in bursts through the gear changes. I watched it in the rear view mirror.
