People think I’m delusional by still going on about Covid. Because they’re still trusting that the world they grew up in, where public institutions advised the expert course of action, is the world we live in now. They assume if politicians told them we’re all fine with Covid now, we must be. What they don’t see is that those same politicians switched off the public health system during Covid. Never mind that public health was *invented* to make that a false choice. ‘Lives and livelihoods’, as politicians framed it, is a bullshit, lethal lie. Public health was set up to save both, at the same time. You can’t have a livelihood if you’re dead. Add to that the frequent ‘but they were old and going to die anyway’ BS. As this study shows, that was also a lie. We’re inside the greatest public policy catastrophe in history. https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/covid-19/many-older-adults-who-died-covid-weren-t-close-death-infection-study-suggests
