Hopefully the FB groups trying to run Bathurst saw this. The bats in Bathurst were part of a mass starvation event. Well over a thousand pups died in Machattie Park alone. This matters in huge ways, because bats pollinate a lot of our native forests. Without them, the plants there can’t reproduce. So expect it to get even worse, as those forests collapse even further, causing even more starvation for more species.
