The new BYD Seal 08 will have 1000km of range, and be able to be charged with BYD’s megawatt chargers in just 5 minutes. BYD is following Tesla’s lead and is installing chargers in China and Europe right now. They’re looking to do the same in Australia in the next 12-18 months. I’d always emphasise for new EV owners that you will almost NEVER need a fast-charger. Unlike petrol and diesel cars, where every re-fuelling needs a trip to the servo, electric cars refuel at home about 99% of the time. There’s no need to wait for more fast-chargers.
