Grace Tame is a superb operator. Smart, funny, refuses to be cowed. Her speech at the Press Club was up there with Julia Gillard’s on misogyny, for impact. But, there’s a but. Where’s Julia Gillard now? Anger without relentless, ongoing organisation is just…anger. Nearly everybody is angry today, about everything, and they should be. But if that’s where it all ends, we just end up with…anger. We’ve lost the ability to organise, because we’ve lost the ability to act collectively. We substitute expressions of individual emotion, for that organisation. It won’t be anywhere near enough to change anything.
