Isn't it kind of strange that the idea of the 'individual' ever took off? I can't actually think of something a person does that is unique to them. Their language is shared, their biology is shared, their ideas are shared, their food and shelter and work is organised socially. What's left? Their thoughts? All images and language that are drawn from a social reservoir.
