For about a century feminism fought to define women independently of their relationship with men. Then men invented the transgender movement, used social media to make it go viral, and here we are, with massive protests advertising the denial of that century of feminism. People feel they should support trans movements, because it went viral and what trends is now what’s real. It’s like ‘living with’ Covid, no basis in science or even common sense, but a thing we do because everybody else is doing it. Welcome to social media reality. Now your entire life, even your identity. You can refuse to be on either ‘team’ in this identity politics. Just stick with reality.
