The Madonna-whore complex is a condition attributed to men who can't find a woman both nurturing and desirable at the same time. It's real. I think this is the same complex all of society now has, it turns all issues into Madonna-whore issues. Standing ovations or mob lynchings. Left or Right. Toxic men or sainted women. For Israel or against him. You could go all day listing the ways we plug everything into this same machine, our social lives flip between outrage and overblown sentiment. You'll notice this in public discussions, frame something as one of these Madonna-whore binaries, people pile on. Frame it as just a discussion - tumbleweeds.
