We’ve now had solar a full year. I did the sums. Electricty used = $2774. What did we pay? Nothing. We made $110. Which means the investment made us $2884. Current lifetime return on investment is over 240%, about 10% per year. Solar doesn’t cost you money, it doesn’t even just save you money. It makes you money.
