It’s stupidly funny, all the rhetoric about the ‘authoritarian’ Chinese. The Chinese are one of the few empires in history with almost zero interest in war or fighting in other countries. They nailed it here. The US is one of the most violent cultures in world history. Count the bullets in American movies, just for starters. It’s violent because it began as a revolution, and never escaped it. Every attempt to coordinate things there in a public way is met by calls for ‘the people’ to ‘rise up’ against supposed tyranny.
