Friend at work was onto Day 2 yesterday of very nasty immune issues, eyes puffed up like they’d done 12 rounds of boxing. Some of the hives on the face now suppressed with double-dosings of antihistamines. Is assuming hayfever, I’m sure it isn’t (they’re not a regular hayfever sufferer, and even if they were these would be pretty extreme symptoms). It’s very likely Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, a potentially very serious autoimmune problem, attacking connective tissue not just in the skin but also heart, brain, lungs etc. Classic after-effect of Covid infection, Covid attacks the immune system. At high risk of anaphylaxis too, will need to be careful about pretty much everything they eat or touch now (but won’t even be aware this may be what they’re suffering from, so an even greater risk). The long-term chronic impacts of these infections are beginning to emerge. Like HIV, which took 8-10 years to first appear as AIDS in people. I know nobody much is changing their approach to this virus, out of peer pressure to not be different to others. It saddens me that they’re trusting politicians with the health of themselves and their friends and family.
