Solar is even more of a revolution than is realised, why I talk about it so often. The prices are in free fall worldwide, it’s now so incredibly cheap to use that even if the world decided to do nothing about climate change, about half the world’s electricty would come from solar by 2030. It’s that cheap. And every projection for how much prices for it will drop ends up being a vast under-estimate, check the first graph. At the same time battery prices, for ‘when the sun doesn’t shine’, are also in free fall. Companies are falling over themselves to install both.
