In China fishermen use cormorants to help catch fish. The cormorants dive into the water to catch the fish, and are prevented from swallowing the larger fish by restrictions around their necks. This is just one example of living *in* a landscape, rather than on it, as we do. Other living things become active members of your society. To us landscape is just real estate. A ‘view’ at best. Then we get bored with our views and travel the world consuming other people’s landscapes as views or theme parks, on our ‘bucket lists’. Photographing it for our socials feeds, to feed our real passion, status games with other people. “I’ve been everywhere, man.”
