Bill Shorten and Kerryn Phelps should have had the brains to figure out this medical evacuation issue would play right into the hands of the incompetent bunch of dipshits on the government benches. 20-odd years into the border protection, stopping the boats slogans. And still the progressive side of politics hasn't figured out a powerful, strategic rebuttal. Just more noble speeches and appeals to 'humanity' blah blah. It plays well to fellow progressives, but they didn't need convincing.
