I suspect many people believe vaccination protects them from getting Covid. I’ve circled in red the effectiveness of the vaccines in stopping transmission, after 6 months, which is about the last time most Australians had a shot. It’s zero. Why I wear a mask every day, the vaccines offer me no protection against catching Covid. But for the anti-vax types, I’m also fully vaccinated, because it at least gives me a 60% chance of staying out of hospital. That isn’t great either, which makes the mask even more important.
