Idiots get leadership positions because, like how much money you earn, merit has nothing to do with it. It's always power. And idiots do power better than anybody. They start young, at school, where they're the ones who play favourites with other people, and have 'besties', learning the skills of building alliances and turning people against one another. Small-minded, weak people. Want to change the world? Get rid of besties, in schools, weed out the bullshit there so it doesn't grow into adulthood. In the olden days primary school teachers would actually do that, advise parents against their child having 'best friends'. They were wise, those old teachers.
