Populism to me is far and away the most dangerous virus in society, and I don’t think we see its full symptoms. From a recent post I saw on coronavirus in Oz. Populism includes ‘noble’ things like donating hundreds of millions to bushfire appeals, ignorant of basic social infrastructure, or that infrastructure already destroyed. Society eating itself, guided by no tradition, custom or knowledge, but only by huge waves of emotion.
