A theme for me. The big shift that climate change has brought, that I don’t think is well noticed, is that the ideas of nature, and the environment, are doomed. The idea humans live ‘in’ nature, or ‘in’ environments, is what climate change has shown to be wrong. Climate change is not ‘humans destroying the planet’. It’s much more interesting and complex than that. That also undermines one of Darwin’s key ideas, natural selection isn’t about the environment selecting winners and losers.
