The distribution of birthdays in Australia. September 17 is the most common birthday. Across the Western world September/October are the most common birth months. Nobody is really sure why birthdays follow the patterns they do. I love patterns because we all make them, as a group, but nobody can actually explain how or why we do it. To me that's why we feel there is something bigger or greater than us, pulling the strings in life, because of these patterns. 'We' is what makes these patterns, but we don't understand what us acting collectively really is - we don't understand 'we'.
