Queen Vic yesterday made me think. Every 2 minutes humans take more photos than existed in the entire world 150 years ago. There are an estimated 700 billion pictures uploaded to social media every year. Add to that all the other pictures and movies and CCTV, and the world is absolutely awash in images. The thing it makes me think though is - WHY this enormous passion for images? Why do we produce so many? My guess: it's about time again. Our culture of the present - we trash traditions (the past) and don't think much about the future - tries to preserve every aspect of that present, at all costs.
