The most muscular Strayanism is taking your 4WD and going bush. Alongside a sort of stamp collecting, where the number of places you've been is a measure of how Strayan you are. As if furiously collecting 'sights' brings you closer to whatever 'Australia' is. Are we closer to the 'real' Australia, if we camp in it? It just makes us tourists, in our own land. Like saying I'm a pilot, because I've flown in a plane.
