21 July

Australia’s 4th test Ashes plan is playing out perfectly. Bowl and bat hopelessly, so the English look in complete command. Then let the rain wash out most of the 4th and 5th days. The emotional damage for the English would be immense, the perfect outcome. You don’t just need to win, you need to tap that deep sense of superiority they feel over Australians, and completely destroy them emotionally. Now we just need English rain to follow the script.
